K-beauty: super-customized skincare
AMOREPACIFIC, a Korean cosmetic industry giant, has recently introduced their new brand Custom.me keeping up with the “one-and-only” customization trend. Custom.me uses AI picture analysis and a questionnaire to examine the customer’s skin conditions and lifestyle, and then creates a personalized skin essence tailored specifically to each customer’s skin condition.
Marketing: AI writing ads
Hyundai Department Store, one of the largest shopping malls in South Korea, has announced that starting from March of this year their advertising copies will be written by AI technology named Lewis (after the British author C.S.Lewis). The final decision of which ad variant to use will be decided by the human managers team, though!
Society: robots taking care of the elderly
One of the AI projects recently introduced by the Korean government is AI machines that help take care of the elderly people living alone. Little robots which look like toys remind the elderly to eat or take their medicine on time, and fixate sudden movements or falls. The project has already been introduced in several regions like Donghae (Gangwon-do).
Education: Korean government has recently started a huge investment project in AI-fication of the society, including the education system. The country plans to fully introduce AI textbooks at schools for at least 3 core subjects by 2028. The future is near!
